Hobbit....





Thought I'll blog a little about Hobbit since I'm suffering from Hobbit withdrawal....Miss my Hobbit heaps and heaps. Hobbit is living with my parents now. She's keeping them happy, I guess. She's probably the closest they might get to a grand child! Mum spoils her to bits. When we were back in Spore, Hobbit was over the moon. She was so so excited and happy. When I started to pack, it seem that she somehow knew that we were leaving. In the morning yesterday, Hobbit was basically sulking and not really wanting to look at us. I guess she knew that we were leaving. It's hard. I really want to bring Hobbit over to HK but at the same time, since we're not sure how long we'll be here, it might not be such a good idea. WK was mentioning that maybe Hobbit might be happier with mum as she has friends there. But I think otherwise. I think she'll be happy with us. We'll see, I'm planning to bring her over in summer. Let's see what happens.

I had high tea with Michelle at The Peninsula. The Peninsula is like The Fullerton or Raffles Hotel. Very ritzy. Well, it was nice but I think Fullerton serves better tea. Michelle is leaving next Friday. Will miss her. She's almost like my first best friend in Hong Kong. It's a shame to see her go. Opps...pardon my bra as well.

When Friends Become Family

As I've mentioned in my last blog, a friend in need called me for help. It got me thinking about friends. Over the years, I've spent and am still spending time away from Singapore and my family. And it's especially that when I'm away from family that friends become family to me. I met Eve when I was doing my undergraduate studies in Gold Coast, Australia. I spent a lot of time with her. We used to go out all the time. Dinners, clubbing and just hanging out. When I lost contact with her, it did break my heart. I met Stanley when I was like 6 in Sunday School. It was all in God's plan that he went to Brisbane to do his undergraduate studies as well. So there are days that I want to blog and I stop because mainly, there's just too much in my head that I want to write. And honestly, I don't even know how to categorize it. Is it family, life, my spiritual walk, my boys? Then, I tell myself, I'll write another day and then another day passes and again, I'm filled with more thoughts. But then again, this is my blog. I'm not even sure if I've got readers. So I'm going to write my thoughts and yes it may be jumbled up but I don't care. A while ago, Babe was close to being placed in a job that would have seen us move to a third world country in the region. If anyone asked me to move to give up my job in HK and move to a third world country a few years ago, I would say a definite no because I'm in my comfort zone.
