Friends Sick

Maybe it's the time of the year that I miss my friends again. It got a little stronger after having tea with Charles. Charles came to HK for work and I met up with him for tea. While having tea, Stan called. Stan is like our mutual best friend. Have to thank Charles for the stunning view at The Intercontinental Hotel and the tea as well.

After leaving Charles at his hotel, I was in the cabby pondering. Stan's dad had an operation and I didn't have a chance to ask him what happened. Sharon's getting busy over her wedding next month and I'm not even helping. Still praying that I'll be able to make it for her wedding night. I've been missing lots of things that's been happening with my friends. And increasingly, I've been missing Eve as well. But I've learning that it's all part of living overseas as well. This is life. It's all part and parcel of living overseas. Thank God for Facebook. But I still and much rather spend time physically with you. So friends out there, I miss you guys heaps and heaps and love you heaps and heaps!

Dear best fren...my dad's recovering. Thanks for enquiring. I know you'd be praying for him despite me not feeding you with updates. I'm so glad we're both on Facebook. It's so much easier to drop quick short notes. I've neglected blogging for so long (in part due to the distraction of Facebook) that I composed two entries today on my blog. Check them out!

So there are days that I want to blog and I stop because mainly, there's just too much in my head that I want to write. And honestly, I don't even know how to categorize it. When Friends Become Family

As I've mentioned in my last blog, a friend in need called me for help. It got me thinking about friends. Over the years, I've spent and am still spending time away from Singapore and my family. And it's especially that when I'm away from family that friends become family to me. I met Eve when I was doing my undergraduate studies in Gold Coast, Australia. I spent a lot of time with her. We used to go out all the time. Dinners, clubbing and just hanging out. When I lost contact with her, it did break my heart. I met Stanley when I was like 6 in Sunday School. It was all in God's plan that he went to Brisbane to do his undergraduate studies as well. My Cousins

I was watching Channelnewsasia last night. They had a program about an extended family that lives together. While watching that, I was reminded of my own extended family and my cousins. Just a couple of days ago, Sharon, my cousin in States, restarted the Sim Cousins email circle. She started it when her dad was sick and now it's restarted. I remembered when we were kids living in Pandan Gardens, Uncle Albert's family (Sharon's family) was just living next block. I'd go over all the time to play with Sharon and Morgan. Morgan was like my partner in crime. I love him to the bits! We used to sit in a corner and share our woes...yes, we had our woes at that time! And Xiao Di (Calvin) was like my little brother that I never had. His birthday is a day after mine. School holidays and weekends were a blast!
